Big ups to class of ‘23 @shorecrestathletics alum @ryan.ederer on being named the MCLA Week 1 Warrior National Player of the Week…the first of the 2026 season! Ryan is a @wwumlax Face-Off Specialist.

ATLANTA- Sophomore Ryan Ederer turned in a dominant performance at the faceoff dot to propel Western Washington University to a 14-11 win over Division I University of Washington. The Shoreline, WA native won 20 of 26 faceoffs and collected 15 groundballs and consistently gave the Vikings possessions that allowed them to control the game and get the win against the Huskies. Ederer earned the first Warrior Player of the Week of the season as a result of his exploits against Washington.

Western Washington Head Coach Tyler Farrar said, “Ryan has put in a tremendous amount of work this offseason and early season to take on the FOS role, it was great to see his efforts rewarded by winning 20 of 26 draws giving our team a big advantage in a close game against a quality opponent.”
