Ami Miller ’23 – Attack

For the 2023 season, his second as a Captain, Ami played his very first High School season as a full-time Attackman, his natural position. After missing his Freshman season due to Covid, a challenging team rebuild year in 2021, and a 2022 2nd Team All-WESCO Midfielder season with only 7 games due to injury, Ami showcased why he is one of only 7 WA state players from the class of ‘23 set to play for a Division I program next season in @njitmlax.

His will to find the back of the net from any angle and location on the field from both sides of his stick was second to none, especially when opponents attempted to lock him off. The velocity on his outside shot makes people get out of the way. His stick and cradle control while initiating contact on the inside, coupled with his fluid dodging and quick shooting hands, commands attention from entire defensive units.

What’s even more impressive is his constant work ethic, both on and off the field, and the leadership role he assumes in helping his teammates collectively improve. Congrats on a job well done @amadeo_c_miller!

2023 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

  • Walk off winning Goal vs North Creek. Inbounds on the end line, whistle to five hole in 6 seconds flat with a hard slide to boot
  • 5 Goals vs Lake Stevens (2nd meeting)
  • 5 Goals and 1 Assist vs WESCO Champs Glacier Peak (2 meetings)
  • 7 games with a hat trick or more
  • Scored at least 1 Goal in every game
Pearse Kelly ’24 – Attack

In his second year as a Captain in 2023, and coming off of a 2022 2nd Team All-WESCO nod, Attackman Pearse Kelly was a force to be reckoned with his Junior season. Yes, his 37 goal tally and patented lefty rip on the run is super impressive, but it was the consistent trail of carnage he left in his wake while scoring that turned heads and fired up the crowd.

He is not your typical Attackman as he is a physically punishing hitter (both with the ball and without), a ground ball machine and relentless riding defender who puts it all out on the field.

A natural born leader who leads both vocally and by example, Pearse expects a lot out of his teammates and pushes them to be the best versions of themselves. Congrats @pearse.kelly for the well deserved honor!

2023 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

  • Sholax All-Time Single Season Leader in Assists
  • 5 games with a hat trick or more
  • 4 games with 3 or more assists
  • 3 Goals and 4 Assists vs Metro Champs Ballard
  • 4 Goals vs WESCO Champs Glacier Peak (2nd meeting)
Kai Sokolowski ’26 – Midfield

As a Freshman, Kai never flinched at playing against opponents older and more physically developed than him, which was evident in his 1st two games by a number of players he laid out on the turf. Primarily an offensive Middie dodger and ball possession stalwart, Kai played every position but Goalie as needed at a high level.

Where he really stood out was his field vision and awareness as our X Attackman on Man-Up and specialty play calls, where he was a dual scoring and feeding threat, and would regularly bury shots from impossible angles. As teams began to take notice and game plan against him, his game continued to evolve with continued success.

His deep lacrosse knowledge has helped simplify the sport for his teammates, and his work ethic has inspired them to put the extra work in. Congrats @kai_soko on a stellar debut season!
